DESCRIPTION:Sign up for our lifeguard training class on Saturday\, April 25th\, and Sunday\, April 26th\, from 8:00 AM to 7:00 PM at St. Mary’s School in Raleigh. To join\, you must meet the following requirements on the first day:\n\nBe at least 15 years old by the course start date.\nComplete the online portion before attending in person. This includes 16 modules and takes about 8 hours. Bring a printed certificate of completion to class on Saturday.\n\nYou must also demonstrate these water skills:\nSwim/Tread/Swim(Googles allowed) \n\nJump into the water\, fully submerge\, resurface\, and swim 150 yards using freestyle or breaststroke.\nTread water for 2 minutes without using your hands.\nSwim 50 yards using freestyle or breaststroke.\n\nBrick Test( No Googles allowed) \n\nComplete a timed event within 1 minute and 40 seconds: Swim 20 yards (goggles not allowed)\, surface dive to retrieve a 10-pound object from 7 to 10 feet deep\, return to the surface\, and swim 20 yards back while holding the object with both hands. Keep your face near the surface to breathe and exit the pool without using a ladder or steps.\n\nBring these items to class:\n\nPencil and paper for notes\nSwimsuit and optional goggles\nPacked lunch and snacks\nWater bottle\nTowel and change of clothes\n\nIf you have a medical condition or need learning accommodations\, contact the Director of Staffing Operations\, Trey Gay\, before your class begins. \nClick Here to Register
