Dave grew up as a swim team member in the Triangle Swim Association (TSA) and later as a lifeguard at community pools in the Triangle. Dave founded Pool Professionals in 1990 and has overseen the company’s growth one pool at a time ever since. Dave’s passion is community involvement, specifically as an avid supporter of local swim teams, as a champion of safety in the aquatics industry, as a mentor to Pool Professionals employees and as a facilitator to the Delta Sigma Phi Leadership Institute.
Dave holds a BA in Aquatic Relations and Economics from The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and was born and raised in North Carolina.
Dave is a CPO (Certified Pool Operator) Instructor and an American Red Cross Certified Lifeguard. He currently serves as the President of the North Carolina Community Association Institute (NC-CAI) and on the Board of Advisors for the Raleigh Chamber of Commerce.
Dave is the adoring uncle of three wonderful nieces.

Dan DeLeo is Pool Professionals’ Chief Operating Officer. Dan has over 10 years of experience in the aquatics industry and is focused on helping customers improve safety and efficiency.
Early in his professional career Dan managed the Raleigh branch of a national swimming pool equipment distribution company where he gained valuable experience in the swimming pool operations and construction business. Dan joined Pool Professionals in 2008 and currently oversees day-to-day operations of the company.
Dan holds a BS in Supply Chain Management from Penn State University, an MBA from NC State University. He is a North Carolina Licensed General Contractor, as well as a Certified Pool Operator (CPO).
Dan is passionate about community involvement, he currently serves as President for SAFEChild, a nonprofit focused on preventing child abuse. Dan is also as an Advisory Board Member for the East Carolina University Construction Management Department. He is Chair of the Greater Raleigh Chamber of Commerce’s Young Professionals Network (YPN) and serves on the Leadership Council for the Chamber’s Total Resource Campaign.
Dan and his wife Sara are the proud parents of two daughters, Grayson and Quinn, and son, Emil.
Amanda Clark is the Piedmont Branch Manager. She manages the day-to-day operations which includes the hiring and training of new staff.
Amanda grew up in Baltimore, MD and began swimming competitively at 5 years old. She began lifeguarding and teaching swim lessons at the age of 15 and began coaching swim teams by the time she was 18. She has coached teams at every level including seasonal/summer league teams, club/year round teams, and Masters clinics. Amanda has also taught Water Fitness classes ranging from basic aerobics to water yoga.
Amanda got her B.S. in Human Environmental Science, from the University of Alabama. After college, she worked at the YMCA as an Aquatics & Safety Program Coordinator until coming to Pool Professionals in 2015 as Director of Staff Operations.

Amanda lives in Cornelius with her husband, Travis, new daughter Piper, and two rescue dogs, Mosley and Dixie. She volunteers as a mentor with Firm Foundations Youth & Family Outreach in Charlotte and has coached a special Olympics swim team for Mecklenburg County.
Amanda enjoys yoga, watching all Baltimore sports teams, College football (Roll Tide!), spending time on the lake, and playing squash.
